• Traditional Volunteer Placement
  Recruit and refer volunteers to nonprofit and governmental organizations.

• Court Referral Program
  Under contract with the Los Angeles County Probation Department, the La Mirada Volunteer Center processes and places court-ordered community service workers with area non-profit agencies throughout Southeast Los Angeles County.

• Curb Appeal
  Assisting La Mirada residents in violation of property codes, and with no means to remedy their violation.

• Free Legal Counseling
  Free one-on-one consultation with an attorney. No income restrictions apply.

• Friendly Services
  Transportation to/from medical appointments, essential errands, in-home visits, weekly reassurance calls, and minor home repairs for La Mirada residents who are at least 60 years of age.

• Grocery Assistance Program
  Grocery gift certificates available to La Mirada families in emergency situations. Grocery gifts are not redeemable for alcohol, tobacco, or lottery tickets.

• Holiday Basket
  Partnership with Meals on Wheels to collect food, toys, and various gift certificates for distribution to needy La Mirada families during the holiday season.

• Internship Program
  Paid and non-paid internships are available to college students needing to meet service hour requirements for classes.

  Supplying individuals with appropriate information and resources available to residents of Southeast Los Angeles County.

• La Mirada Volunteer Center Scholarship Program
  Intended for high school seniors who are committed to continuing their education by way of college or trade school.

• Make a Difference Day
  Annual home improvement project enlisting many volunteers and the support and skills offered by our local business community.

• Savings for Servicemen
  Volunteers clip coupons that are then turned over to the La Mirada Ebell Women’s Club. Ebell then sends the coupons to our Armed Service personnel to be redeemed at their store of choice.

  Annual fundraising event held at Celebration in the Park.

• Spring Tea/Fashion Show
  Held at La Mirada’s Historic Neff Barn, the Spring Tea/Fashion Show is a fundraising partnership with Target.
