Community Court
Community court is an outgrowth of the Van
Nuys community, the Volunteer Center of Los
Angeles
and the Van Nuys Superior Court coming together
to assist persons committing quality of life
crimes in taking responsibility for changing
their lives through changing their behavior.
A community service sanction along with a
social service component is the method being
used to
accomplish this task.
