  • Teen Outreach Program (TOP)
    Promotes positive development for “youth at risk” in Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). A life options curriculum is coupled with community service.

    Provides camping experiences for at-risk youth to build environmental awareness and provides a sense of accomplishment and self-worth.

    A tutoring program which provides tutors for hundreds of elementary school children in the Compton Unified school district.

  • San Fernando Valley Youth Council
    Brings teenagers together to develop creative ways to identify and meet community needs. Young people meet weekly to work on community projects.

  • Court Referral Program
    Serves the justice system by referring clients who have been ordered to perform community service to local agencies and public institutions.

  • Juvenile Community Service Program
    Community Service Delinquency Diversion Program for clients under 18 years of age.

  • Community Court
    Community court is an outgrowth of the Van Nuys community, the Volunteer Center of Los Angeles and the Van Nuys Superior Court coming together to assist persons committing quality of life crimes in taking responsibility for changing their lives through changing their behavior. A community service sanction along with a social service component is the method being used to accomplish this task.

  • Parenting Program
    Teaches parents of strong-willed and out of control adolescents how to change destructive behavior patterns.

  • Counseling
    Group counseling for adolescents, 14-17 years of age. Problem solving and communication skills are taught, as is impulse control.
