Volunteer Connection
The Volunteer Program matches the interests of volunteers
with community needs and consults
with agencies to provide technical expertise, training
and advocacy for volunteerism.

Established in 1968, is staffed by 90 highly
trained volunteers to assist people in crises
and help
educate the public regarding suicide.

people to appropriate resources and intervene
in problematic
situations before the crisis stage.

Transportation Access Program (TAP)
The Transportation Access Program distributes
bus tickets to seniors, disabled and truly
needy through
other agencies for doctor appointments, shopping
trips, or other needs.

Alternative Sentencing Program
Alternative Sentencing Program provides placement
for people assigned community service hours
by the courts, Calworks, community service
while
not employed; a Teen Education Options
Program (TEMPO), Electronic Monitoring-Home Detention

management cases for the courts.
